Carmi over at Written Inc. is again hosting Thematic Photographic,
and the theme for this week is "white."
After looking through my photo library of countless snow pictures, I was reminded of this one after visiting Bossy's place this morning. Thanks for the inspiration, Bossy!
OMG what a sweetie! This is what I loved about having a cat - the curled-in-a-ball peacefulness of their existence.
ReplyDeleteI think I would have had an easier time photographically if ours hadn't been black. His fur literally ate light, and it was hell to shoot him properly as a result. I miss his nuttiness, but this photo takes me right back to what it felt like. Lovely shot indeed!
Thanks! I know what you mean about the black ones...we have two black labs who have given me an education in lighting!
ReplyDeleteA good challenge is always welcome...it forces us out of our comfort zone. I'd get another black-furred pet in a heartbeat.
ReplyDeleteAs it is, we rescued a miniature schnauzer. He was so filthy and matted when we got him that we thought he was black. After 3 hours of hard labor on him, our groomer discovered he was actually silver-colored. Poor thing hadn't been so much as brushed for six months! Thankfully he's a happy, well adjusted puppy now, and our kids adore the ground he walks on. He likes them just a little, too :)
(Your link on my blog worked perfectly, btw. One day, I'll figure out how all this stuff works!)
that is one beautiful photo, how lovely.
ReplyDeleteHere is Mine
Great pic - you're a fab photographer... makes sense for a designer though, huh?
ReplyDeleteNice shot! Makes me feel warm & comfy.
