green days

Spring rains in Oregon bring
the greenest greens I've ever seen.
The mosses glow with unearthly colors,
covering every surface with a velvety emerald carpet.
Even the flowers are green!
It's as if Mother Nature has had enough of winter,
and suddenly decides to flood the world with clorophyll.
Even the trees wear crazy fern-wigs and soft mossy beards,
and Labradors turn into Leprechauns...
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I love the greens, even more the mossy stone building (is that yours?!), and even more the Leprechauns, although they do look a bit confused.

Oregon is filled with nature spirits. I think some of them may live in the stone house in the park...they don't seem to mind the lack of a roof.

And the Leprechauns? They only agreed to pose for the picture because I was holding their pot of gold biscuits for ransom.
