not really cheaper by the dozen...

Who am I, the dog whisperer? I came across a very tired, thin and hungry dog on my walk today. He was limping and uncertain, and wandering in the street. A kind driver stopped to check him out, and was planning to tie him to a pole so he wouldn't get hit by a car, when I said I'd take him home with me....except that he didn't want to go with me at first. My son drove up the hill and rescued us.
We brought him in, fed him, and the next thing I knew he'd made himself completely at home. On the sofa.

Sigh. He is awfully sweet, but I sure hope we find his home soon...

Oh, my god.

What a sweetie he looks like. The way he sleeps, all open and trusting and exposed, is exactly the way our Jack dog sleeps - and he was a rescue dog, found as a stray. What is it about these guys that make them so trusting and vulnerable? I do hope this guy has a good ending. What is the reason you can't keep him?

Well, I'd love to keep him, but we already have two big dogs and three cats, so it's a full house. (and it's hard to find a place to sit in our own living room!)

Good job Cactus, I hope you find his home soon... he could have been wandering for ages and missed by someone a long way away... I hope he wasn't dumped. If he didn't want to go with you though, it's possible he was dumped and waiting for the owners to come back... so sad.

Good luck saying goodbye to him if nobody turns up though... my memory of having too many dogs and cats as a child is that one more can always fit in :)
